In the state of IA when you find this you should call your local DNR officer. He will or should issue tags to eliminate both animals du to the fact that they will ultimately end up dead due to broken neck or starvation. When tou do it that way you also save your tags to go on and harvest more deer. Happy Hunting!!

I love it cause most of em go to the store and buy meat from some animal that lived a shitty sad life in a pen being fed hormones and crap food , as opposed to living a healthy, happy life in the wild...
Then they call us inhumane for harvesting them...
Ya that makes sense..

or just shoot ONE of them, drag them out of the river, and break the antlers with stick, your boots or the butt of an unloaded gun, that way at least one of them would survive.

I love all the people that are so butt hurt about hunting... They whine and cry but at the end of the day all their whining and crying really doesn't change anything!

The comments on here are making it seem like the person videotaping made the two deer lock up and then shot one of them! COmmon sense people.

@Chut619 YES! My uncle tried to separate two locked bucks when he was younger. One of them kicked him, and broke his jaw and completely ruined one of his eyes. Much better to shoot them quickly instead of letting them stress and starve for days.

That was gruesome.

U should of let them get lined up so that u could of shout and went through the first on but then go and hit the second one

That was ugly.. .If your taking a vid with your cell phone don't ya think a call to a game warden would of been a better option.... I'm a hunter too.. That sucked!!!
These two deer were LOCKED TOGETHER, so they probably had to shoot the other buck as well. You people need to realize that deer are large, strong, wild animals that will do damage to a human if provoked. There was no way to get these bucks apart! So is it more humane to let these two bucks starve to death for God knows how long, or kill them within a matter of minutes? They weren't shooting these deer for sport, they were shooting them so that they wouldn't have to suffer.

So the question is, what broadhead caused that much blood loss?
