Mary O'Hagan was a Commissioner with the New Zealand Mental Health Commission between 2000 and 2007. She was also co-founder and the first Chair of the World Network of Users and Survivors of Psychiatry. Mary is currently an international consultant on recovery and service user issues.

well said, and i agree that seclusion is barbaric and cruel and traumatizing for an individual. not enough people speak out about this or get involved enough to take the god complex out of the mental 'health' system the world over.
maybe one day psychiatrists will be dethroned
