Introducing Tom to someone who doesn't know him is like introducing that strange uncle that doesn't quite fit in, cause he wears his humanity on his sleeve...like tinsel on a january tree. Watch the Rockpalast series of videos on youtube with Tom....they are extraordinary. Andre in S.F.
Tom Waits words are gems ..so if you find someone someone to hold Don't trade it for silver Don't trade it for gold I have all of treasures and they are fine and they are good They remind me that houses Are just made of wood. What makes a house grand Ain't the roof or the doors if there's love in a house It's a Palace for sure Without love... It ain't nothin but a house A house where nobody lives

I was lucky enough to see Tom when he came to Chicago last year. This is one of my favorite songs. I've never cried during a concert before, but when he did Tom Trubert's blues I teared up. Then during his encore he did the "Day after Tomorrow" and I openly wept.
