A címszereplő "bolond idegen" egy párizsi fiatalember, Stephane, aki kedvenc cigánydalának énekesnője után nyomozva egy romániai cigány faluban köt ki. A részeges öreg Izidor befogadja a házába és segít neki legyőzni a többiek gyanakvását. Kölcsönös vonzalom alakul ki Stephane és Sabina, egy csinos elvált fiatalasszony között, de kijön a börtönből Izidor fia, Adriani, aki kapcsolatban áll a helybéli maffiával...

Great movie, great actors, great muzic, great improvisations! Gipsies, in Romania are rare, rromany are even rare! Romanians conduse people, and think that just because someone is black, than it means he is a bad person, that shoul be banned and punished! Gipsies are special, they are nomade, they keep their traditions.Romany are the same as gipsies, only they aren't nomade, they are educated, and learn about theyr traditions ! A lot of idiots call themselves gispsies and it's not so!

i am romanian and i disagree with Raducu .I think there are fascinating things to know about gypsies and I really think that overall they had a positive impact in our society.

Ce superba e Rona Hartner. Ce fain canta tiganii!Ce pacat ca Adi Minune canta manele, care sunt departe de ce inseamna spiritualitatea tiganeasca. Manelele sunt subcultura ordinara, muzica autentica tiganeasca este folclor, pasiune, frumusete.
