  • When did they remove the roof from the majority of the front stretch grandstands? I know it was there in '88.

  • 36.5 seconds in the pits? I bet Michael darn near fired his pit crew that day.

  • Honestly the most overrated driver of all time is either Kenny Irwin or Kyle Busch.

  • He won one because of ppl blocking for him, and then he won one with the help of rain(500's)

  • yeh a-f mikeys a c rate driver, they talk him up like an a tho. well then again he IS dw's brother....

  • most overrated driver of all time.

  • don't forget his 1996 Winston All Star win

  • its a shame michael had to wait 10 more years until he won a race. But hey hes won 2 500s!

  • Those pit rules proved even worse at Bristol. Frankly, with the way NASCAR operates today, I'm surprised they don't try to implement those pit rules.

  • I'm a huge Michael Waltrip fan, and I had heard a lot about this race but never seen anything from it. It's heartbreaking to watch. He had this race in the bag. This shows how terrible those pit rules were early in 1991. Did they do a post-race interview with Michael? If they did, I'd love to see it if it's not too much trouble.
