Walkthrough of a haunted childrens Ward at Willow Court in Tasmania. The youngest patient that I am aware of that lived in Ward G was 4 years old.

Some do, but many people do not like to share their stories which is the difficilt thing. Do you have facebook? cause I have a willow court group on there that has some ex-staff on it. Other than that you could probably contact State Archives for info.

Hi I am basically after any info during the 1960 & 70's from when the hospital was Lachlan Park. Was wondering if anyone reads this, that worked there, has photos, remembers patients (I am after info on 3 of my relatives but wont put names here due to privacy) also another relative who died there Patricia Mary Columbine born 1943 died aged 16 Abt. 03 Dec 1957, this one I really want to find out more, presume she was in childrens ward, she was like a baby.

Hey, what sort of photos are you after? Have you looked at my website? PM if you would like more information.

  • The childrens ward was where children were sent that had mental as well as physical disabilities as parents often couldnt look after them. It was a part of cruel living in those days that we look back on now and think how could anyone do that. But it happened as far back as the convicts also, that is why these instutes were shut down years ago and now there are 1/2 way homes for those such as Downs Syndrome etc

  • Hi would it be possible for anyone to get copies of these photos or similar when the place was intact as I grew up in New Norfolk and my mother and uncle were admitted there for many years. My memories are faint now of this place as i remember it being Lachlan Park Hopsital when they were in there, later RDH as i moved away many years ago I never got the opportunity to take photos and have now found out the place has been demolished
