ICAM 40 Project #2
My work was inspired by the Latin bi-square that was talked about in the Oulilpo. I really enjoy reading for pleasure, and so I was interested in the Latin bi-square's idea of characters and plotlines. In the bi-square, there are a chosen number of letters along with the same number of numbers. One chooses the number of characters and characteristics according to the number of letters and numbers previously chosen and replaces each of them. In every column and every row, each number and letter can only be shown once. Each column and row therefore becomes different plots. I created a five by five Latin bi-square with A through E and one through five. In my video, I chose blue, orange, purple, yellow and red to replace my letters and jump, read, murder, run, and cry to replace my numbers. The colors were my characters and the actions the deeds of my characters. Each time a plotline concluded, I added a white square, to signal a fresh start. Also, I thought that it seemed as if there were many ways that a plotline could pan out. To emphasize the large number of plots, I made the colors and voices change faster and faster as the video went on.
