Cindy was a beautiful B&G macaw. She was abused and neglected before we rescued her.
We did everything we could for her. We shared 4 wonderful years with our special girl.

I am in tears after watching this video. It's deplorable the way those people treated that beautiful, vibrant, intelligent creature of God. I have a 5 month old Blue and Gold that I adore. He's so loving and smart and so worthy of being treated lovingly and deserves the best care that I can give him. Thank you for stepping in on behalf of a helpless bird and making her last days full of love and companionship and not starvation, dehydration and smoke. You will be blessed.

This was terrible what Cindy had to endure..... At least she knew love in her final years. I salute you for that.

Thank you so much for sending this video as a response to "Macaw Betty in Parakeet Cage 17 Years". I am honored to accept it. I have seen this video before, & I am surprised that there is no comment from me. It must be because I couldn't see for my tears. I am so glad that you saved Cindy from such a dreadful life. I hope your life will always be blessed for such a magnificent effort in rescuing Cindy. I wish everyone had a heart like you.

I am so sorry for your loss. I just stumbled on this video and I am crying for Cindy and for your loss. She died entirely too young. I hope that people will learn from Cindy's story and if they choose to bring a parrot into their home, I hope they will learn the enormous responsibility that comes with owning and caring for one of God's most special creatures.
