Sunday July 12th, during the second Castrol Canadian Touring Car race of the weekend (a support race to the Honda Indy Toronto). Driver Dave Ciekiewcz does a great job avoiding other cars going into corner three, at the end of the long back straight.

  • I was working race rescue on T3 that day, I still remember when it happened. Not sure if the driver noticed, but everyone working that corner, from rescue to marshals, were cheering that he didn't hit anything.

  • I hope you got a major penalty for hopping back on track without stopping or waiting for the corner worker to waive you by.

    Man that was dangerous.

  • you mean the yellow traffic light?

  • Skills usually mean he would have made the turn

  • SKILLS!

  • hummm? Cant you see that a yellow flag showed up just at the end of the stretch?

He didnt see it comming and I think he saved it well!

  • So basically he forgot about that there was a corner coming up and nearly rear-ended two competitors?

  • holy !!@#@$%^!

    lol

  • Just like his normal morning comute!

  • nice work
