No, dual clutch transmissions need only 7-8 milliseconds to upshift, this needs 60. It is the fasted single-clutch tranny, but not the fastest period.

Is not faster but it's ways cheaper and more reliable how you said. This things changes in 0.006 when the DSG needs 0.2 but the DSG is the future.
In the times I mean the time it needs to put power to the wheels from when you put the paddle until it gives the power down.

DSG advantages:
Extremely fast shift time of 8 ms, when shifting to a gear ratio the transmission ECU is expecting.
DSG disadvantages:
Relatively lengthy shift time when shifting to a gear ratio which the transmission ECU did not anticipate (around 400 ms).
So, shifting properly, a DC g'box is faster.

DSG upshift faster then downshifts, downshifts can be pretty slow at times.
