A film on the investment of Italian electricity firm Enel in Slovakia. The film, which was first shown at the Green conference "World energy solutions: Switch to green power" in Rome, points out how unsafe, uneconomical, potentially illegal, undemocratic and unsustainable the Enel projects at units 3 and 4 of the nuclear reactor in Mochovce are.

  • Mr. Beranek is ecofanatic, this video is FUD. There is a lot of power plants like Mochovce (correctly pronounced as "Mokhovtze") working properly. PWR (pressure water reactor) is safe design (unlike boiling water reactors in Chernobyl or Fukushima) and there many other power plants like this working without problems.

No tsunami can hit Mochovce, no graphite in reactor.

Don't let them scare you, seek more information from independent sources.

  • I'm Italianand I feel ashamed that Enel is going to pursue this crazy project .

Ask the Japanese people how this nuclear plants are safe .... at best you'll

get a kick in the ass !!!

  • Ruski's eh? dodgy

  • :D:D:D Our nuclear power plant in Slovakia...

  • omg people from greenpeace.

  • Typical Green lie.

Lets just say that IAEA does not require protection against aircraft crash if the probability is lower than 10-7. Or note that Italy is going to build own nuclear power plants. Or say that no company would build anything which would not bring it profit. As the video says return rate may be 17 years, however the plant can go for like 40 or more years. Is it clear enough it would make hundreds of billion crowns (or tens of billions dollars) at least...

  • Hey, I am from Slovakia and I visited Mochovce nuclear power plant personaly, - we ve been there with school-mates and teachers and the presentation in modern building was greatful. It is thrue that the construction of reactors is not very modern for this time, but I am sure that power plant is safe aginst fall of jet-plane (width of walls is min. 6 m of steel and beton) and there are many of certian safety system, much of them work automatically, I think there is no reason to be afraid...

  • roflmao.... do u think about all france nuclear reactors : they are safe? rofl, some of them are too from the year of 1970 maybe then can be younger but no more than ten years...
