Fallout and Fallout 2 where two isometric games released for the pc in the late 90's.
7 years after the second one a third game was released developed by Bethesta known for the Elderscroll series.
They brought the game to a 3D perspective and put you in the role of a man or woman in the year of 2277.

Fallout 3 is an Action-RPG, shooter. It focuses on telling a story where you're actions change everything.
In the begining of the game you make a character, you then learn the basics of the game whilst being a baby, a small kid,
an older kid and finally a 19 year old guy or girl who have to escape the vault that had kept them safe.

Immideatly after leaving the vault you may go anywhere you want to and complete either side quests, the main quests, the many DLC quests or just explore the
wastelands and expirience randomly triggered events where you might have to save someone, kill a couple of super mutants or/and collect items locked away
somewhere.

The game is huge and even without the DLC you will be playing for a hundred or more hours, unless you rush and only do main quests that is, but even so
it will bring you fun for around twenty hours. While you can play it as any other shooter it leans more towards playing it tacticly with the VAT system
which pauses the game and let's you choose a body part to attack with the equiped weapon, it's really satisfying blowing someones head of in slowmotion
with a BBgun.

All the people you meet, you are free to help, or kill for better or worse. There are civilized people but there are also bandits lurking around so be careful.

When you level up you get the chance to asign points to different abilities and choose perks. Depending on your choises you can complete a quest in many
different ways, using charisma to talk your way to it, using stealth to steal it, completing the sidequest the way it was ment to or simply shoot him right
there and take it of his rotten corpse.

There is also a charma system so depending on your decisions you will turn good or evil and the enviroment will treat you that way.

Voice acting is great as you can expect from Bethesta and they deliver on music as well. When it comes to graphics they did well but sometimes the
brownish colour that fills the earth can get a bit repetetive, but in that case just try out mothership Zeta and expirience some other colour pallets.
Sadly character models are pretty ugly and animation could be alot better but as long as you play in first person, you'll be fine.

The story is great with a ton of interessting characters, side quests and alot of secrets. The game has a ton of humour as well which is great.

Scoreboard Time!

Gameplay: 8/10 Simply shooting like in a first person shooter is next to impossible and it's not very satisfying either but I guess that is understandable as
it's not ment to be played that way, using the VAT system is great fun and it works great. The leveling up system is great and story wise the game has alot
to offer esspesially considering that it has a ton of DLC, great DLC that is!
The desisions you take makes a difference and the people and enemies are well made, with all the quests the game is long and packed with a ton of fun.

Graphics: 7/10 Even thought the character models aren't that good and the brown can get boring after a while it has a lot more to offer if you just look in
the right places, It's not visually stunning but it still looks nice.

Sound/Music: 7/10 Great voice acting and good music, the soundtrack could've been better but it's still good.

Story: 9/10 A father leaving the vault for an unkown reason, your old friend killed right before he did and then you set out to find your father.
I haven't seen a story like this and the ending is great as well. As you can change the destiny of pretty much everything it has a ton of interactivity as well.

Replay value: 10/10 A ton of gameplay and a ton of DLC and a ton of reasons to replay. You CANNOT as much as scratch the surface in one playthrough and replaying it
will give a completely different outcome. This game is made for replaying!

Total: 41/50 Holy crap this is a great game! If you're an RPG fan and you prefer sifi over medival or maybe you love both than this is deffiently the game for you.
If you're more into the medival stuff but like this games concept be sure to check out the Elder Scrolls series, and I'll go more in depth on that in another review.
So I hope you guys enjoyed and I'll see you guys real soon in another awesome review! Bye!
