Demolition crews are firing up bulldozers and excavators daily to crush apartment and office buildings on the south end of the campus at Chapman and Commonwealth Avenues to make way for new student housing. The leveling paves the way for an estimated $140 million student-housing project with 350 units and 1,189 beds targeted for Hope students and other higher-education schools in the area. The target date for student occupancy is August of 2011.
