I saw that band in Barcelona (Catalonia) like 10 years ago in a small pub called "La Boite". I remember that the singer broke her leg and the day after she played with the blaster leg.... amazing!

I got to see Cafe R&B at the then tiny Roys restaurant in Santa Barbara in 97 when they 1st got started..tables over turned, drinks & underwear flying, power vocals, charisma, and the tastiest guitar solos anywhere. Such a stellar band! Having a child & ankle sprains may have limited some of the diving, but the energy is going strong! Last I heard the orig drummer was battling an illness...I wish him wellness.

I saw them at The Mint back in the day, and warned my friends to remove their drinks from the table for one song where I knew she was going to go off. She did. I caught one of the stilettos she kicked off, and a minute later, she dove across the tables and glasses flew everywhere! Total mayhem!
I doubt she still table-dives, but her talent and charisma is so stellar, and the band so tight-if you ever get a chance to catch a Cafe R&B show, consider yourself fortunate.
