Badly Drawn Boy - "Promises"

BADLY DRAWN BOY aka Damon Gough, next single, 'Promises', is the third single to be taken from last year's album 'Born In The UK' and will be released on June the 18th 2007.

'Born In The UK' was released to a rapturous response in October 06, has seen Badly Drawn Boy take on a tour of the UK's finest chip shops, a sell out UK headline tour, including two nights at the Bloomsbury Ballroom, and more recently he has just completed a sold out US tour, where those in the know who witnessed those stateside gigs say he is on better form than ever. One of the highlights from his Stateside trip was sharing a stage with his hero Bruce Springsteen at Caregie Hall in New York as part of a tribute concert to The Boss.

'Promises' is the natural follow up to 'A Journey From A To B'. A live favorite, 'Promises' stands as a beautiful and intelligently simplistic testament of romanticized intentions and promised vows. It parallels between a story of hope and lost feeling that surges a crescendo of self-longing. Remixes and b-sides to be confirmed.

Anyway, I met this Badly Drawn Wotsit when he had a brief (yet memorable) stint at our Living History museum. I'm a bit of a history buff, so when they decided to do a Romanov Dynasty themed season, COLOR ME STOKED! However, they hired THIS tosser here to play THE Grigori Rasputin! I know the dude was famed for his unfortunate hygiene, bt SHOW A LITTLE DAMN RESPECT! I DOUBT he wore a dappy hat!
