Sections of rift valley MPs are still on the warpath over government plans to handle the Mau forest saga. Led by agriculture minister William Ruto the mps say that the 38 billion shillings set aside to conserve and fence the forest, is also enough to compensate those being evicted. The politicians claim that there might be plans to swindle the money. Although the mps state that the issue should not be politicized, they have rejected any moves to forcefully evict the settlers before they are fully compensated.
