Iran, and many other nations, will eventually get nuclear capabilities. We can't just go around bombing every nation that tries to get nukes.

If we get attacked, then we crush them. Otherwise, leave them alone. Nations like Iran won't want to bomb us if we trade freely with them.

The only reasons that Iran would ever consider attacking us would be because of anger caused by our sanctions against them, and/or because we protect Israel(which we shouldn't be doing anyway).

Iran would have to be completely stupid to attack one of their most valuable trading partners....which the US would undoubtedly be.

@equsnarnd - Simple. He says the loss of manufacturing contributed to the cause of the recession. The theory has long been held that the US economy is a plutonomy: powered by the rich. This is how we have these "jobless" recoveries. Unemployment and any other sector focus is bogus because the rich control consumption and thus the economy. Calling the economy up or down is 50/50 shot no matter logic you use. His is wrong.

How about gold going to $5000 / oz? That just says ridiculous.
