A young high school girl (Rebecca Summer) is assigned a project by her English teacher, to interview an old Vietnam War Veteran (Jim Beckett). Although she is reluctant (expressed to her friend Courtney Crosson), she pushes herself to interview him. During the interview, the old veteran reflects on his war experiences through a series of flashbacks (voiced by Zack Jones), and opens up about his feelings about the war. Based on The Story of a Vietnam Veteran and inspired by The Things They Carried (novel)

@pmf598 one does not seek parallels as per war especially "contact" when you find out what "contact" is then you can throw your opinions into the "honey pot" "DOC" shared a very pretty pearl:"war is hell anyone can say that but actual "contact" is a m---f-r. are you intending to minimalize the 'nam vets experience? as opposed to the desert war now. aggrandize the desert war and the jungle war vets. is that too much to ask? as per your "40 year gap folly" there is no 40 year gap now we see it.

5:00 to 5:03 is the first real Vietnam war footage i have seen of a soldier with a m203 grenade launcher on his m16

Ok . . . . so how about a sequel with a guy of your age group returning from combat in Iraq or Afghanistan, a front line soldier who has been involved in fighting. There would be no 40 year gap . . . . . well done with your vid.
