Here is a tin can ukulele I made recently. It is walnut and mahogany with an italian espresso can.

  • Hey there good sir, i am begining to make something like this, you inspired me, except i had an idea of placing the tin can inside a cake tin, and cutting holes in both to make like a double resonator, what do you think?

  • @myboytheharp Sounds like a plan!

  • Awesome, how did you make the tuning pegs and machine head, or are they store bought?

  • @Iheartgo0gle the tuning pegs, frets and strings are store bought

  • i really want to make one now. i just dont know how to measure out the fret positions........ any help?

  • @oopsLOOPS do an internet search, there are many web sites that can help you with this

  • Build me one please!!!!

  • Man that really awakened me to the potential of a uke! It sounds like Folkways archival recording of folk/Bluegrass players of the last century. You made classic tunes come alive that I wish I had the spring in my step to cut the rug!

  • brilliance to the nth degree . . . you can use that for your album title if you'd like

  • That is so amazing! I am in awe of your playing and instrument building abilities.

  • Aweosome, sounds more like a Mando/uke!!!

  • that sounds awesome , thanks for posting

  • I really enjoyed your entire package.

    When I first started the ukulele I made one out of a wooden cigar box;

    A couple of years later, I bought my first 'real' ukulele at the dime store for only $2.49 cents + tax. It was a plastic ukulele.
