This is the spoken and visual instruction for needle tatting my simple flower pendant. This is the same pendant as my first video only with sound and is a beginner project. The full instructions for the pendant can be found on Instructables titled Learn Needle Tatting with my Flower Pendant or search for tutorials by TotusMel.

  • Hi!! I am from Argentina and we don't have tatting needles, what other needle can I use??

I will really appreciate your advice. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!!

  • @leandroc2011 Hi! What makes a tatting needle special is it's blunt end, length and that it does not change thickness at the eye. Most other needles do. I've heard tale that some people use long doll needles and they sand the tip down. You can find tatting needles online through Amazon.

  • Hello,

at 2.29 you join the second ring to the first ring, but I can't really see how you do it. Um, you pick up the thread and then there are 6 ds followed, but is the thread you picked up the first part of a ds or not?

    Thank you, Babs

  • @willowke You're pulling the working thread through the picot and placing it on the needle and then you continue with the ds's. This can also be done using a crochet hook.

  • thx. whered u get ur tatting neeedle?

  • @steakwolf9 You cam get them on amazon, overstock, hhtatting and lacis.
