We talked about Love in Sunday school. Your videos really opened my eyes, and showed me that, simple gestures make such a big difference. This is eye opening and makes me want to help the world :) thankyou.
Great song, but theres something I dont get: Why is it love your enemy instead of just dont have any enemies? Why must love be associated with suffering and sacrifice? A loving relationship is achieved through harmony and avoiding pain, not through a determined coping with suffering. I may be wrong but I sense a kind of a proud self righteous drive in sacrifice: If a loved one gave his/her life for me Id feel awful about it; nerve wrecking depression:( But like I said; great song. 5*
What he means by sacrafice is when you put someone elses needs before your needs and someone elses wants before your wnats. And to address the comment about enemies, an enemy is someone who sets themselves up against you for example say there is a person that hates you and wants to hurt you they are your enemy they want to see you hurt and suffer but this song is talking about loving those who persecute you or come against you.
Well the easiest way to avoid sacrifice would be to have the same wants as those around you. Just thought that sacrifice goes against the idea of harmony, it creates the idea there is something wrong that has to be endured and suffered through. I don't know about enemies; It's really easy not to have any. I usually agree or politely agree to disagree with ppl; that keeps us all peaceful. If that doesn't work I just leave the place and don't think about it anymore.
hi there! =] about a loving relationship can only made by having harmony & avoiding pain isn't necessarily true. think about your best friend or someone you love a lot. you probably went through lots of hardships together & helped each other out. its not talking about like difficulties in your friendship, although those can build friendships too, but like getting through pains in life together. thats when a loving relationship can be formed =)
