  • Can never grow tired of his work.

  • This song breaks my heart in such a wonderful way.

  • Joemanses, I think that Susumu Hirasawa has a lot of similar qualities to Laurie Anderson. Both Avant-Garde, both have a unique sound. Her music doesn't sound like Hirasawa's, but I have a feeling if you like him, you'll like her.

I've given up on claiming an opinion for which of his songs I find to be the most beautiful. Because for so long, every time I heard a song by him, I'd say what you said; as if every song he made was my favorite.

If every song he makes is my favorite, either he out-does himself every single time... or he has simply reached perfection and all of his songs are perfect... and therefore a favorite.

  • @joemanses He made so much music over the years, I don't really think you need to many artists to listen to stuff in this style.

  • That'd be so complicated, since Hirasawa is so unique on his work... but you can check his earlier work on P-MODEL, his former band in which he was the leader, though is not the same style as his solo music.

  • can anyone recommend another artist similar to susumu? I just can't get enough of his work, but I'm wondering if there is anyone else out there who might create music of similar quality
