@jcksnparsons I was just thinking that Dave was underrated. Then I watched this video and forgot all about Dave after realizaing how underrated Lessard is. We all rave about Carter and LeRoi (and sometimes Boyd). But DAMN... that child can play the bass!

my mother, in her late 60's and having never heard of DMB, over heard me place this song while she was in the kitchen cooking. When the song finished she looked up at me and said "now thats a tune I would like to see in the stadium"

This performance, of this song in particular, is one of the best ever. From beginning to end, it's chilling/calming/sweet/terrify­ing/exhilarating.

If I were a music teacher, this would be in my curriculum.

For the record, I say "discovered" because I hated them until I heard Ants Marching. Then, I bought the Best of What's Around cd for that song--and then I was sold....I could no longer hate them. Ftr, I hated them because I was being beyond pretty and didn't want to like them for really no reason. I got over that when I realized how amazing and soul searching the lyrics are!

Haha, awesome! I "discovered" them about 2 years ago. Ever since then, I can listen to them at anytime! I have bought a TON of their music--mostly live. I love the live cd's so much. Be sure to get the Boston "live trax 6" album. Best version of Jimi Thing and American Baby IMO. They didn't tour but 4 show last year, but I saw them in Dallas in 2010! Hopefully they will tour this year! Def the best concert experience ever! Glad to hear another new Dave fan :)

Im 24..and recently discovered this band..i went out and bought like 6 Cds..all but one are live performances. My rides to work and school are literally a DMB concert..this band is operating on a whole other level..the spirit of hendrix, lennon, michael jackson, SRV, marley and countless other musical genius' is running through them...i cant describe the feeling i get...it proves that God is a music lover. Only thing that brings me this type of joy is the sight of a beautiful woman. Come to TX!

because he is a person just like me that just wants to love and be loved and at the same time he can relate to just about all of us and the things we go through in this world. such a hard cold world BUT such a beauitful one and millions of amazingly complex and deep people. dave reminds me that there is always hope in humanity and there is love in the places where it is hardest to imagine that it can exhist.

I listened to this song a million times over the years but i never truly KNEW what it was about and could relate to it, until i went through something recently with the love of my life. Every lyric to this song touches me to my core and in an incredibly deep and profound way. That is why dave is sooo incredible. continued...
