@pinoypower247 i was in a rural area in the phils one time and the bus was really crowded and i went for miles hanging onto the rail of the bus door....while standing outside the bus...never gave it a thought you just adapt but if i had to do that here in the west i would be scared....lol
-
@pinoypower247 well yes fearless but when you are in it you do not feel fear there is a kind of trust thing going on and as i say accidents are rare...you learn to look around in the road alot more than in the west, and for that you get sharper somw western countries are experimenting now with no road markings and everyone finds there position at junctions and it can work quite well, its when us westerners apply our rules while on the road thats when the accidents happen

@WELLBRAN i agree with you 100% in order for anyone to drive in manila, even bus drivers, you have to be fearless.
-
not one person got hit that day lol
-
Lots of worse places to drive in the world like Bombay and Dheli, but the noise in Manila is relentless, together with the heat and pollution, i love it and can`t wait to go back there in june, great country and great people...

cause of manila traffic: too much vehicles on the road poor public transport system (eg mrt, lrt), many malls, establishments along major roads hence too many puv's and pedestrians causing slow traffic flow, too many people living in manila and still growing because all major businesses and establishments are there. solution: none just suck it up or live elsewhere!
-
Traffic would be alot faster and smoother if people just stayed in their lanes. -__-
here's what i have to say.. if you can drive here. u can drive anywhere.. lol

I have driven a motorbike in the phils and have to say it looks crazy but if you adopt an attitude like the pinoys you are okay and accidents are quite rare, I used to hang on to the back of other vehicles in slow moving traffic quite often you just adapt to that style also people there use their horns more as a way of saying "hey I am here" rather than western idea that horns are for aggression
