Data from sources like Google Street View could easily be used on a GPS-like display in your car. Our guess is that such a display would be distracting, and this is one thing the experiment will hopefully shed light on. Augmented reality (simulated in our experiment) should be less distracting.

how is this augmented REALITY when it all takes place in a virtual world?
taking Pine's definition of the multiverse i'd rather call this augmented virtuality
nice work though! looks like a really immersive environment. Can we hook it up to streetview? ^^
