  • yeah, N.B.Riff is first position (is build on the major scale first pos).

in fact i can play it - thanks to your lesson - but I don't play

it when I play 'cause I use crossharp everytime (for now).

I will try to extend the S.B.Riff with the low notes. maybe is not much musically correct but it sounds pretty good.

well, the only guitar lick that I can hear here is from Iron Man.

that riff you say is pretty cool but I can't recognize it. where you took it?

  • 1:07 riff is from Wild Child (The Doors)

  • brilliant example of playng blues harp in a Black Sabbath way.

    just a technical clarification:

at 3.26 you start to play some fast licks (some of your playing brands), the first one, if I'm not wrong, is the Johnny Mars Riff (up and down), but the following one is the Norton Buffalo Riff with some extra low notes? it seems much longer than the classic Norton Buffalo Riff.

    thank you

    O.

  • Thanks O!!

Your´re right it´s Johhny Mars. The following one is muddy and messed up but I tried to play what I call in my harp lessons "Sugar Blue riff" with the extra low notes you mention. What I call "Norton Buffalo riff" in my harp lessons is played in 1st position and Sugar blue riff in 2nd position. They sound the same I think. And I don´t know who was first with these riffs but I had to call them something!

Can you hear where I stole the riff at 1:07 from?

    Hakan

  • Great ny dear wonderful

  • Thanks Ashok!

  • YEAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH YOU P OOO OOOOOO WWWWWWWW.

  • Great video! I play the harmonica in a blues band and also the guitar and the harmonica in a hard rock/blues band and I'm a huge zeppelin and sabbath fan, so I'll try to play my harp as a guitar like you.

  • Feel free to do that!
