AOL Time Warner didn't want that. Soon as Ted Turner was out as the decision maker that was the beginning of the end.

To many ppl blame wcw's demise on russo and other bookers, but truth be told the AOL merger wanted nothing to do with WCW. Not to say that the ratings weren't down, but wcw didnt have a chance.
