  • @Micpowerfull They came back 5 more times and missed it once (Apollo 13). The problem is, there wasn't anything on moon to pay for the expenses. Like gold or oil. The public got bored, it became politically impossible to continue to spend billions to visit a totally lifeless desert over and over again just for scientifical reasons. The average American said "no!". War is advertised as "necessary" for USA's security. People accept that more easily.

  • @YDDES It1s strange, for the first time man conquer a place and never came back. Its like Colombo discover America, then went back to Spain and said, its too complicated to go there. Indians, weird land, huge sea to cross. That was nice, but dont bother go back. LMAO.

Spend billions conquering the moon, but yeah lets kill some fucking assholes overseas with our weapons, spending billions in bombs. God Bless America LMAO!

  • Look at Scott go! He's got it made! haha

  • @FantasticBob7000 I know, there are also conspiracy theorists who claim that ALL space-flight, manned or unmanned, is fake.

  • @loperspest You realize there's freaks who think the Gemini 10 & 11 missions were fake, right?

  • @Simboiss

...because if the Apollo missions turn out to be fake...

    Damn youtube, you dumb.

  • @Simboiss We flew higher than that, even before Apollo.

    See Gemini 11 for example.

The Space Shuttle had and Soyuz both has quite limited fuel on-board. Even Gemini needed to dock with Agena to boost to a higher orbit, but it has been done besides Apollo.

  • @grillergeorge Actually, yes, it is very important, because if the Apollo missions turn out to be fake, it means we were (and still are) overestimating human advancement in terms of space travels. That would mean we still can't go beyond the low-orbit mark, which is usually 300-400 km...

  • @Simboiss

I understand the difference between an experiment and an expedition.

    You apparently don't.

  • @Blahblobify Then, you don't understand basic science principles...
