a point you have missed redthunder124 is a) we are bombarded with instructions on what to be and what to buy daily and many people just follow instructions without thinking through their options and b) many people who claim to be hard up own TVs, playstaions, too many clothes, pets, cars, etc etc, not that i have no sympathy but often no real consideration is given to where our money goes.

This whole thing is completely rediculas, what Hugh fails to get is that tesco sell what people want to buy, and people have better things to spend there money on
(im sure ill get the thumbs down just for saying the other side to the argument)

Families on a budget perhaps should eat less chicken then. I make below poverty level earnings and I enjoy a healthy lifestyle... I eat less meat and supplement with more vegetables, grains, etc. I am far from vegetarian but even I know that one does not need meat at every meal.

youre so right, a lot of families without a lot of money find it easy to eat shit, it isnt necessary, to eat healthily and well and ethically is do-able with the choice we are offered today. meat is not something you would naturally get every day.
