  • @vieveangie But Dolly's performance was the one they aplauded the most. They really responded to her. The problem was the Academy voters who gave the Oscar to the rap group Three 6 Mafia for a terrible song called "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp". I, for one, think that life MUST be hard for people like pimps who exploit others.

  • RAWR I LOVE DOLLY PARTON!!!!

  • @madman37115 I read she was genuinely happy for Three-6-Mafia. "They're Southern boys too" she said.

  • This was her oscar. Not It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp's.

  • It's great to see her fellow stars appreciate her just as much as us. What a legend. Robbed I tell you.

  • One of her greatest songs ever. And the best song of the year for sure. This woman is a genius. She deserved the Oscar. The whole show was nothing but a bad joke.

  • @mikemikester1 Ditto Brokeback Mountain.

The film wins for Best Director, but was robbed for Best Picture (it went to the weak "Crash" instead) and the late, great Heath Ledger was also robbed. Unbelievably, the overrated (and Hollywood player) Philip Seymour Hoffman won for "Capote." I still get angry when I think about it, and these award shows rarely matter to me.

The Academy rarely gets it right. It's all political and driven by the dirty game of money.

  • Dolly's song is light years ahead of the Pimp song that won. She was robbed and took the loss gracefully, as always.

  • Can any post the Introduction by Naomi Watts, where says Dolly is a woman she has admired her whole life

  • Her vocals are spot on. Amazing
