I finally finished the water hopper, engine frame and fuel tank. I did a test run that took about a hour to see if there where any leaks. No problems anywhere. After about a hour off running I shut the engine down and the water temperature at the outlet was approximately 40 degree Celsius. I guess that is normal with no load. I ran the engine at high compression because I forgot to unscrew the C.O.V after start up. The exhaust has a very little oil spray when its running but I hope that that will be gone after I put some load on the engine. The load will be a generator.
You have done an amazing job on this engine! :)

The engine looks and sounds great; you've done a good job on it :) Looking forward to seeing it run with the generator attached. The Lister manual states that an engine with a low load should be run on high compression; so you did the right thing. Again, a superb job.

Thanks for the compliment. I'm busy now with overhauling the generator. The front bearing is in bad condition so I took the generator apart. While at I also change the bearing in the back.
Regards,
Marcel.
