I have COPD. There are NICE guidelines that state those with COPD should get support from a multi-disciplinary team. I get no such support, nor do other sufferers I have spoken to. The NHS Continuing Healthcare [Responsibilities] Directions section seven states those whose need for health services is more than incidental to their need for accomodation should get NHS funded care, but that doesn't happen either!
Guidelines are just paper.
