The race for Christmas number one is hotting up as anti-X Factor campaigns battle to keep Matt Cardle off the festive top spot.
The Trashmen's Surfin' Bird - starring Matt Whistler wearing a mankini - is currently at number three.
First made famous by Vietnam war film Full Metal Jacket, the oddball surf rock hit has also featured on US TV show Family Guy.
The Bird Is The Word For Christmas Number One campaign on Facebook currently has more than 630,000 followers.
And those behind the single say it is not too late to defeat Cardle.
Whistler said: "We have ruffled a few feathers in the X Factor world and we've rattled a few cages.
"We're just waiting to flap our wings and elevate into new heights."
