Your problem was you didn't lay the nose out right.

Aerodynamically and efficiency wise PPC's are EXTREMELY ineffient albeit very safe. You could probably teach someone to pilot a PPC before you could teach someone to drive and it would be safer as well.If PPC pilots had to take mandatory classes to teach them more about the chute, stalls, micrometeorology, advanced manuevers and weather patterns...

It would be nice if all PPC pilots knew as much as a typical Paraglider pilot. You wouldn't get lockout if you did what is called a forward launch which mmany paramotor (Powered Paraglider) pilots use. Your chute has the very front most lines your A's - in a forward launch you can pull on the A's to get the chute up while idling the engine then once it is overhead you power up not before (for paramotoring).
(cont'd)...you would have much better educated pilots than most of the simpletons that call themselves PPC pilots that would't be surpirsed and would avoid getting 'unexpected' sink, encountering turbulance that seems to them to come from no where.
I am not bashing anyone just saying that PPC pilots are VERY poorly trained and this is ONLY acceptable because of how safe & pretty much completely automated piloting a PPC is.

Well this was a long time ago when I was 13 and I was still training because of my age my instructor wanted to take about one month to train me instead of just one weekend. But I do agree most pilot's aren't properly trained, but now with the light sport rule applying to all two place ppc's you are required to have a little more traning and knowledge about it, I have my sport rating now and am looking into skydiving, or getting my private pilots license.
