Even if they were only 1000, 41 would be an insufficient sample. It's not the strict ratio that counts, you need a significant sample whathever the size of the population.

Your sample of 41 is too small to be taken seriously. Take for example another study conducted in the Indian Sub-continent found that the prevalent R1a1 in Northern India, which some have concluded to be about 33% of the entire region. However when samples were taken in the thousands, R1a1 became 17%. So there's a huge disconnect as to what exact contribution of these genes are to the region. A sample of 2000 or 1% of males in the Assyrian group will be the best.
