we have that same (old) switcher in one of our control rooms at WVUA-TV...I mostly do field work though... It's too crazy in the control room for me.

I doubt the TV station will be switching to HD soon...The production house has HD field cameras (Full size HDV) but no studio equipment for HD (aside from editing)...

yeah, well we have a full production house too. The Production House operates separate from the TV station. They have a newish Grass Valley switcher and they primarily record to D9. We also have a several FCP suites etc...

Since we are a state run institution, all of the old switchers are usually kept and end up at the TV station...Students get to work with the professional staff, so it's a great school to learn A/V production for TV and documentary production.
