Highway Vlog - Flip Ultra HD Camcorder

A test video for the Flip Ultra HD Camcorder.

I've only had it for two days, but here is my early review:

Pros - Clear picture, vibrant colors, easy to use, records in 720p (perfect for YouTube Widescreen HD), rechargeable battery, 2-hour recording time, Flip editing software allows for trimming and combining of clips into WMV output file.

Cons - Flip editing software is effective, but limited to simple titles and credits, MP3 background music, and front and back trimming of clips, no front viewer on camera.

Price on Flip.com $199
Price on Walmart online $199, but with choice of two of these accessories (USB cables; HDMI; Power Adapter; tripod) included ($50 value if purchased from Flip).

what program did you use to edit this.????????????/please please cuz it's mp3 for me and when i convert it it looks like crap then windows mm destroys it!

@BoingoBunny99 Hi, this video was edited using the flipshare software that comes with the camera. If you use WMM for XP, you'll need to convert the files from MP4 to WMV. There's lots of free software that you can use to do this, like winff. Once you convert your files, you will be able to edit the converted versions in WMM. Have fun.

Hi George, yes, I was surprised myself with the good quality of the flip video. I've noticed that it does a better job capturing video outside during daylight than it does with indoor light. Ray

I took a look at some of your recent vids and they look good. I guess that those are uploaded from your camera without editing.

No, there's no pixelation that I've noticed in the flip editing software.
