@RealMemoryDecay It's really unfortunate that the earth is always under the shadow of those who would abuse the power of technology. I'm sick of it.

Scary indeed! Too much knowledge within our world for having so much wickedness.

@RealMemoryDecay That it does. There are hundreds of questions concerning all of the technologies discussed here. Most of them are scary when you look at how they could be abused. In most cases, the immoral use of these technologies far outweighs the positive uses.

Oh yeah, if everything that is boring work ran off robots, that would be cool and everything, but in our society of needing money, a job is essential, and job less will increase if robots start taking over jobs. It already happens even today. The less machines doing work, the more jobs are open. So there woule need to be a different system and government and way of life. Everyobe that has to work would have to work out of being nice, and everyone gets treated equally, or those working get extra

@RealMemoryDecay Well, the money system fights against workplace automation. I personally don't think money needs to exist anymore but that's another topic altogether. Robots could definitely free humanity from having to work. I never believed in the whole "labor for income" idea. It's really a kind of slavery when you look at it. I think that our society needs to be re-designed, because there are certain things that just don't help, and indeed, actually hurt us.

Scary indeed! Too much knowledge within our world for having so much wickedness. I think if AI had emotions, it could do downhill if not engineered to not have negative emotions. I would hate a robot to turn on me.

@RealMemoryDecay Well, I'd think we'd be able to program them to be neutral in their decisions. Then again, if you told robots to make decisions in man's best interest, they might do things that could "harm" us. Because we're killing ourselves, so they might do things to help us that might seem evil or immoral.
I'm not sure if an AI could achieve true sentience, though. Who knows.
