Love and War | 13 [Halloween Ball (part two)]

We wait for Sally's black limo to pick us up. Sally is mega rich, if I haven't mention that before. She has the biggest house out of all of us, and she owns, like, 5 limos and all these other cool cars. You'll be surprised to see what else she has.
We get into the limo that arrives and we put on some rap and R&B music. We all dance in our seats as the limo drives us to the school. We are all laughing so hard, and just being plain silly. The limo drops us off when we get there. We all get out, thanking the driver. We hook hands with our guys and walk into the school's gym. The gym is decorated with black, orange, and white streamers. There are balloons everywhere. They also have a disco ball. It looks gorgeous. We walk over to the food table. We grab a punch and walk to the corner where no one is standing. We all dance and have fun. The guys go to some of the other guys for a while and us girls dance. We laugh, and have fun, while we be our silly selves.
I walk over to the food table for a rest. I grab an orange cupcake. It looks yummy. I take a bite.
"Hey Ashley." Lucas Maxwell says. He is from my History class. What did he want? He is dressed up as a zombie, and he looks freaky!
"Uh . . hey Lucas." I say confused. I take another bite of the orange iced cupcake.
"Uh I wanted to ask you if you'd like to dance." he asks bravely. Okay not as planned. I already have a boyfriend. Hello.
"Um, I'm sorry Lucas. Maybe another time." I say politely.
"It's okay." He says. He looked a little upset as he leaves.

"Hey there cutie." Taylor says from behind me.
"Oh hey." I say a bit surprised. Did he just hear what Lucas said? Oh no. I should tell him anyways, I think in my mind slowly.
"What's up?" he asks.
"Nothing. Lucas, from my History class, asked me to dance." I say.
"And what did you say." he asks sipping from his orange cup.
"Well I said no of course." I say finishing off my cupcake.
"Why? He only asked for one dance." he says sipping the orange juice again.
"I said no because I'm here with you today. And you're my boyfriend, not him." I say quickly.
"Alright, alright. It's okay." he says putting his cup down and pulling me into a tight hug.
Just then a slow song goes on. I look up at him and smile wide.
"Shall we?" he asks and he puts his hands around my waist. I put my arms around his neck.
"We shall." I say dancing to the song. "The dance was perfect." I squeal after it is over. I am so happy that I had Taylor with me that night.
