-you point out, but I do carry these matches. I actually also like the Coghlan's that you also tested. Again, if you keep the striker dry they're pretty good for yeoman's duty. They burn well and for a good amount of time. My main survival backup is an Exotac XL with several xtra strikers, but I have several vials that are filled with mostly Coghlan's but with a few UCOs mixed in. The same striker will light both brands (all brands, AFAIK).
Again, great work!

Great videos! I watched all of your match tests and they confirmed my experiences. First, no brand of strike-on-box match seems to work with a wet striker. The UCOs are better than most but the chemistry of matches dictates that the red phosphorus striker be kept dry. It looks like UCO understands this since all their products include extra sealed strikers.
Once they're lit virtually nothing will extinguish them, as you've noticed. I don't really like matches because of the failings that-

Umm, you need to end the count when the match goes out..not when you get around to stopping the clock. Cool vids, thumbs up, but yeah, I had to comment.

@neonshoji Thats why we put the clock in the shot. That way you can see exactly what the times are. When you are focusing on holding the match as still as possible and giving information, sometimes it is hard to see the exact time. Also some times there is still a small flame not visible on the camera that still counts in the burn time. Sometimes we just screwed up. It is just a rough estimate anyways because each match burns differently due to several factors. Thanks for pointing this out
