this is great to see rock muscians doing this style back then but this travis technique is a common place in country music seriously check out some of the travis pickers on youtube like doyle dykes, tommy emmanuel these guys are amazing and steve of course

I hear you. Rock n roll lost touch with this aspect of its roots circa 1974. After that it just became dumbed down power chord music with morons hanging scarves hanging from their spandex pants, etc. (Rush being an exception).

Anyone can play a guitar very well if they practice alot. It is the people like Steve Howe that bring in their own style and nuances that make greatest rock guitar players to ever live.

@Manzkeglanzel Steve Vai is a fantastic guitarist dont get me wrong, but he is nowhere near as talented as Howe.
Howe is just in a class all his own....
