http://www.airpictures.se This is the Safari chr helicopter, aka Baby Belle. A visit at the German dealer of this Canadian design kit helicopter. Its a down scaled copy or imitation if you like, of the inherent Bell 47. You can build this helicopter your self under a watching eye of your countries EAA organisation( experimental aircraft association) Safari helicopter have a ordinary Lycoming 4 cylinder piston engine that powers most general aviation aircraft and helicopters for 50+ years. Its very reliable. The drive train is direct whit a centrifugal clutch for engaging rotors turning, no belts whit other words. It cruises around 75 knots for at least 3 hours but have optional extra fuel. TBO gear boxes 1000h and 2000 on the engine. More info and price http://www.safarihelicopter.com
Thank you Bernard and Gustel :-)

  • Hi, thanks. It carries 106 liters of full fuel wich equates to 2h 50 minutes of flying time. The cruise speed is around 73-75 knots and in a zero wind situation that makes about 180-200 NM or 300-360 km. Its possible to buy the Kiwi pods for example from the New Zeeland dealer and then you can carrie fuel cans and get a couple of hours more. Its possible to get a stc for using car petrol, and then just land next to any suitable petrol station and begin carrying fuel ;-)
