Organic cabbages can be grown when soil is repaired , porus and fertile .
Supplement them with periodic vermi-compost.
Cover mulch lightly to suppress weeds and hold moisture.
Dont get hassled if snails eat a little. They also got to live! ok ?
Scientific studies show that when a vegetable is attacked by pests, a defense mechanism is activated! They produce certain chemicals in extra quantities. These phytonutrients, anti-oxidents and other substances give organic veggies extra taste and healing properties! They become more herbal!Containing many cancer Preventing chemical substances-immensely improving the healing properties of the organic vegetables!!!
These cabbages are very crunchy, tasty and have good structural integrity. Dense and heavy.
No pesticide!!!! is good for salads.
@aquariussal small space is ok.dont wory.u can do all ur litl learning experiments there.add a small waterbody for dragons to breed.if u use plenty good quality vermicompost n a little wood ash most veggies will do well.but u got to keep feeding evrey once in a few days..try to grow a number of species of yr veg side by side.this also confuses pests.throw in a few aromatics like basil, marigold or borage also.here n there.more the merrier.serving pure veg to near n dear is love.

@vidaripollen We have all those critters except dragonflies! But ours is just a small back garden, so we're quite limited with space. I'm quite interested in the concept of permaculture and have been watching quite a few videos on Youtube about it. :) So we're just starting out and trying out all the cool ideas like making worm towers or maybe a keyhole garden. Will keep at it and hopefully will turn out some some potatoes and maybe a beetroot or two this year! :) Thanks again!

@aquariussal im a fanatic about not using any killing substance in the garden.just have faith in god and c what happens!but ur soil should b very rich in natural nutrients.n u should encourage little birds n spiders n frogs n dragonflies n ladybirds n wasps n ants n all variety of bugs to establish themselves in the garden.earthworms n burrowing moles and rats and mice all should b allowed to play their role.aim for the garden of eden and u will succeed after a while.patience is the key.

wow! Those are very healthy looking cabbages. We've never tried growing cabbages before, but might be tempted to after watching this. :) Do you use absolutely no pesticide at all? (even organic pesticides like caffiene?)

Those are nice. I don't like eating cabbages but I think they are beautiful and nice as an ornamental plant.
