SLW is the story of Gustav and Luca. Their life changes when the Italian government presents a draft law that would give rights to unmarried and gay couples, prompting a wave of homophobia in Italy. The Vatican and conservatives fight against it, preaching that the end of morality and the family are nigh if the legalisation on civil unions is not blocked. Together for over eight years, Luca and Gustav want to understand the different positions and undertake a journey into a country they did not know before and did not expect to find: their own.

I hope this situation will change in Italy soon as well as here in Brazil, where being gay is just "not illegal" but hating gay people is not illegal as well.

I'd really love to see the movie. I'm going to look for exhibitions here where I live, although I'm not very optimistic about finding it this way.

l'ho visto pochi giorni fa e sono stata tremendamente scossa dal constatare che la situazione fosse peggiore di quanto pensassi.

ciò che ho sentito dire perché travalica qualsiasi senso umano e civico; ha messo a dura prova il mio sistema nervoso e la mia convinzione che il diritto di parola e pensiero sia dovuto a tutti.

ad ogni modo, continuerò a pensare che un mondo più giusto sia possibile.

I really like this film and I hope the situation will change! Not only in Italy.

But as long the people repeat what the politician and religious say without thinking about it nothing will change. And in my eyes this is one of the biggest problem.
