Why did we even change it. This 101 year old shows it how it should be! This is from the Oklahoma Centennial Spectacular, how come people didn't post this? I don't know.....

  • Melvin was on TV? Wow! I grew up hearing him sing every Sunday in church. :)

  • @cutiegirl37 yes, he was really 101 at that time. lived 2 more years and could still sing the last year he lived. He was much better singing without a piano.

  • @mrSRSbuisness nope, didn't die for another 2 yrs

  • That is my great uncle.

  • I love this song, but I think Oklahoma! is better

  • As a lifelong resident of Oklahoma, I am so, so thankful that we got rid of this and took on Oklahoma! as our state song.

  • @mrSRSbuisness he probably is

  • He looks like he might die any moment now.

  • You're kidding me! They let this go and substituted "Oklahoma! Where the wind comes sweeping down the plain; and the waiving wheat can sure smell sweet when the wind comes right behind the rain!"?????

  • this is the cutest old man ive ever seen!

    hes really 101?
