Recently, master percussionist Mr. Ibrahim "The Sultan" Turmen saw me dancing and called me "Manolya".
He said: ''She flows like the 'manolya' in a warm, gentle summer breeze".
This beautiful name sounded like music to my ears, and I embraced it.
Since I've been called Jalila Zaccarina for so many years, I will still carry those names as surnames because they represent my journey across the dance. But if we meet some day, please call me "Manolya".

I'd like to thank the most important person for me in my dance life. She showed me that I can be myself and introduce me to great dancers and musicians. That's the case of Eebo. I'd never be Manolya or Zaccarina if it wasn't for her. Thank you master Liorah.
