JiggaJ1979:I also remember it.And specially when he stated that both "Captain Red Neck" Dick Murdoch and "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes fought and drank together for seven years.

"Cuello Rojo" is Redneck in Spanish.

I wish Dick Murdoch had come way down to Puerto Rico in the early 80's, when WWC was definitely in its prime with a lot of big names from the U.S.. Murdoch's main territories back then were in Mid South(UWF), St.Louis, Kansas City, and Japan , so he had no chances to come down there, though Carlos Colon would have hoped to book him into WWC. Murdoch would have had an intensive fued with Carlos in his prime just like Terry Funk and Stan Hansen, two of the greatest Texans, actually did.

Back when the territories existed, especially here in the South, it wasn't uncommon to hear southern heels inject racial remarks into their promos. It helped draw heat from black people and a lot of white fans also. The promos were convincing, because everyone knew at least a couple rednex, who would probably say shit like that. The lack of PC is what made most of the promos and vignettes entertaining. Vince uses this strategy when he needs to draw fans. Piper's Pit. The Attitude Era. JBL.
