I've looked at various navigation type systems for my helicopters but they are all very expensive. In fact far too expensive for what you get. I'm starting to make my own cheap version. This is a flasing blue 5mm LED connected in series with a 300 ohm resistor to a standard 9v PP3 battery. The flashing is not as nice as the real ones but these diodes are about 13p and the resistor about 2p so for 15p (30 cents) you can have a single flasing blue light.

  • do you know what a jst connection is.

  • @1234dooood It's the little red plug and socket that you use to connect the battery

  • How its flash?

  • @Char1zard93 You can buy LEDs that automatically flash. They have a built in electronic circuit to make them flash. All you need to do is connect them to a battery.

You will have to go to the website and see what's available as I don't know what the value of "Pounds" would come to when converted to US dollars.

  • @toddy2519 I make custom lighting solutions too for any kind and any size model. Sold loads of my sets worldwide. Do rclighthouse charge less than £15 for one set??

  • If you're looking for inexpensive but great lighting solutions for r/c car, airplane or helicopters check out rclighthousedotcom..I use their stuff on my helicopters and they're great!!! (replace the "dot" with @ )

They have 3mm..5mm..and 10mm lights in all colors..steady or flashing plus holders, brackets, light pods, and light tubes. All lights have the resistors wired in and they will make custom lighting solutions for you at prices much cheaper than just about anyone out there!!!!!

  • @Fekillix oh. thanks man =] didnt know LED's had a voltage difference.

  • @johnsoncp13 I am using low omh leds wich I got in a 1000 pack from e-Bay

For normal led`s that would probably be the best solution since I heve little experience using normal led`s

  • @Fekillix Thanks for helping. The voltage is great but I think you need to connect the LEDs in parallel to get the 3V over each one.
