There is something completely distorted with the collective thinking in this country where educated and intelligent people still can ONLY equate a "treat" for kids as having a sweet, sugar laden, and heavily processed food product. Why can’t a treat be an extra hour to play outside, or going to go see a movie (without the popcorn or candy), playing a game with the family, or going to the zoo? The possibilities are still endless even when you remove candy bars and sweets from the word treat.
Oreilly always has the last word on his shows and always insults guests that own him. Sometimes he makes good points, and as a Liberal, I think he's probably one of the most respected conservative talk show hosts out there, yet he's certainly got his...imperfections, and I can't tell you I'm his no 1 fan either.
I support Meme Roth 100%. If so many girls weren't so goddamn obese and aesthetically repulsive, I might've asked out a few more girls in my life time!
He calls comparing a twinkie to a cigarette 'militant' but then rants on about how a lifestyle that incorporates drinking can parallel medical costs from a lifestyle of obese individuals. I commend MeMe for her composure and intellect.
I think it depends on bone structure. There are people like me who just don't look good fat, it all goes to my gut, but there are some people who get a nice full ass and such from it, so whatever.
Bill has fat friends he doesn't want to piss off, but here's the thing about MeMe and people like her:
If our country had a low obesity rate and most of us were fit and healthy, then moderation would be fine. But we are, next to Australia, the fattest country in the world, so we do need militant people like MeMe to push our fat people back on the healthy track, for the sake of their health and our wallets.
I personally like her idea of treating kids with an activity instead of food. It helps them learn or exercise (mattering on the activity) instead of simply eating as a reward.
oreilly himself could stand to lose a little weight so he has no right to talk about moderation

"Some people like to be overweight, they enjoy their life that way, they have a lot of fun"
Wow, apparently being overweight and surviving off of processed foods is a LIFESTYLE CHOICE? Wtf, O'Reily?
