@nachoking54 actually the reason why the soundtrack was disqualified from the Oscars was that the song Convergence used in TWBB was actually used originally for another film (I think it was Bodysong). so technically TWBB didn't a completely original soundtrack.

this music is apart of what made TWBB great

if i could rate this from 1 to 10 i would give it 100.5

It needs to be noted the reason why There Will Be Blood wasn't even nominated for Best Original Score was that it was declared ineligible due to the score sharing some similarities of Greenwood's previous work. Bull crap, I say.

@charliebubblesoar we all saw the film at the same time as hearing it, i think in parts because of this, the music actually informed the narrative and characterisation rather than the other way round

@ChrissyChiChi you might as-well add, "my Goodman" and "thee" to your colorful comment.

this song reminds me of bioshock
Hearing the entire soundtrack, it becomes clear that Jonny Greenwood really understood the symbolism, the message, the heart (or lack thereof, Plainview!!) of the film as he watched and began composing. What a genius on so many levels. It's a very earthy, dark, intense, otherworldly score all the way through. No other music could have done the trick. Thanks for posting these!
